manipulation
What is in your heart? the fear of being manipulated?
Is it so terrible to be useful?
In “Shawshank Redemption”(月黑高飛a movie in 1994), a banker is accused of killing his wife and her lover and is put into Shawshank. He insists his innocence. In an occasion, he gives advice to an officer of the jail to avoid some taxation. And then, his abilities in finance and management arouse the interest of the chief, for managing corrupt money. At the same time, the banker runs a library and starts to help some fellows to get their academic certificate.
One day, a young man comes and reveals the fact that there is someone else who killed the banker's wife and her lover. When the chief knows that, he killed that young man to keep the banker for his own use.
At the bottom of the food chain-- what a nightmare!
Maybe that’s what the socialists blaming. But when these sincerely devoted people become new authority, they are their own enemies. It is conventional, natural and normal for those who under new power to be exploited to compensate those who were exploited. In a certain extent, revolution is meaningless.
Yes, there where we are, depending solely and wholly on the conscience of powerful authority. Of course, no matter how insignificant it may be, someone is depending on mine too.
